Kia ora team! We wanted to share a quick update about one of our awesome clients, Chloe Hogan, who pops in for Private Pilates whenever she’s down on holiday from Auckland.
Honestly, Chloe’s journey is one of those that just hits you in the feels. She’s been through a heck of a lot, and we reckon it’s worth a share because it’s truly amazing what she’s accomplished.
Overcoming the Odds
Back in 2019, Chloe was in a really serious car crash. The injuries were major, and the doctors were upfront—she was told she might never walk again. That’s a tough thing to hear for anyone, hey?
But Chloe is clearly built differently. She’s shown incredible grit and determination, and she’s just kept putting one foot in front of the other (literally!) to defy those predictions. If you haven’t read about it, her story is definitely worth checking out on 1News, or you can hear her chat on the Lisa Tamati podcast (links below!). It’s super inspiring stuff.
Getting Stuck In at the Studio
We’ve been seeing Chloe for quite a while now, and every time she comes in, she’s doing even better. She’s really loving the work we do here, especially on the Trap Table (the big Pilates machine with the springs and frame).
In the video, you can see her absolutely focused on the roll-up exercise. The Trap Table is fantastic for her because the springs allow us to give her the perfect amount of support and resistance. This way, she can safely build that essential core strength and control.
Having a physiotherapist guiding her through her Pilates sessions makes a real difference too, ensuring the exercises are spot-on for her specific rehab goals. She’s improving heaps, and it’s a total privilege to be part of her progress.
Just Keep Going
Chloe’s positive attitude and her commitment to the process are a huge testament to her character. Seeing her smile and how much she enjoys her sessions (like in the photo with one of our team!) is honestly what makes our job so rewarding.
What a legend. Thanks for letting us share your journey, Chloe! Keep up the incredible work, and we can’t wait to see you next time you’re down south!
