Tove (pronounced ‘Tohveh’) Williman is a physiotherapist with a master’s degree in sports science from Innsbruck University in Austria and comes to us with an impressive history, including a couple of years working with the Swedish national cross country and biathlon teams in the lead-up to the Beijing Olympics.
Tove’s from Sweden originally but moved to Queenstown recently from Austria with her Kiwi-husband and young son.
However, things are never quite as straightforward as we might hope in the 2020s… and in Tove’s case, we’re still waiting for her paperwork to wind its way across the various desks of the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board so that she can work professionally as a physiotherapist.
While we wait, she’s going to be helping us out hosting pilates classes, one-on-one pilates sessions and offering sports, therapeutic and lymphatic drainage massage as well as acupuncture treatments.
If you have patients that are training for the Coast to Coast or Motatapu, and want a massage or pilates training session with someone who’s helped Sweden score Olympic biathlon medals, then now’s the time to refer them over to her, before her registration arrives and she gets whisked away to help out with the clinical side of the business.
