Sara is a Physiotherapist trained in New Zealand (Otago, 1992) and has been a Registered Hand Therapist since 2006. She ran her own private practice in Timaru for 20 years and has been enjoying life in the beautiful Central Otago Region for the past four years.

Currently, Sara serves as the Secretary on the Hand Therapy New Zealand Executive and is a proud Registered Member of the New Zealand Association of Hand Therapists. She has a wealth of post-graduate training, including customized splints and casting, McKenzie therapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health. Additionally, she has 25 years of experience and qualifications in acupuncture.

Sara is also dedicated to helping others grow in their careers, holding supervision qualifications for training Associate Hand Therapy Therapists.

Outside of her professional life, Sara is an avid sportsperson. She has played netball, basketball, rugby, touch rugby, football (soccer), and has recently developed a passion for pickleball. Over the years, she has also coached juniors and high school students in both netball and football.
