New to pilates?
If you’re seeing us for the first time all the different class types can be a bit confusing, but don’t worry it’s actually pretty straightforward. Here’s how it usually works:
- When you first see us, we’ll book you in for an initial assessment with one of our physiotherapists to get a clear idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are and set some goals. These are usually half-an-hour long, but if yours is a complex case we might stretch it out to 40 minutes.
- Following that we like to book in a block of three one-on-one ‘Fundamentals’ sessions. We find that giving our clients lots of personal attention at the start of their pilates journey helps them develop great technique and avoid bad habits.
- After that most people jump across to ‘Studio Sessions’ or other programmes, which are a bit more social – and a smidge cheaper too.
We’ve said “usually” a lot here, that’s because everyone’s a bit different and we pride ourselves on tailoring our programmes to suit. Whatever your goals and abilities are, we can develop a great pilates programme for you.
