Neil is an Australian Physiotherapist and Exercise Scientist, with a background in running and triathlon coaching. As an athlete, he has competed in and finished multiple Ironman triathlons and marathons, and as a running and triathlon coach, he has successfully coached many beginners and injured athletes to finishes and PB’s in events from 400m to ultra-distance.
Neil has a strong background in movement biomechanics and exercise science, and he is able to create innovative and effective performance, rehabilitation, and training programs for a wide variety of athletes. He especially enjoys working with beginners, or those who have battled chronic injuries, and the satisfaction of getting them to the start and finish lines.
As a physiotherapist, Neil has extensive experience in complex diagnoses and conditions, including chronic pain. Last year at Notre Dame University in Perth, Western Australia, he was involved in research into the involvement of nerves in lower back pain, and he has done extra training in chronic pain education. He takes great satisfaction in helping those who are seemingly not getting better, and returning them to pain-free and normal function.
Neil practises at both the Queenstown and Frankton clinics.
